Duo installation, inserted into the installation Gathering Lands, video screening by Andrée Bélanger (« Étrangetés »), multimedia sculpture by sculptor homonymous artist Andrée Bélanger and collaborative installation by both artists (I had to split it up, because it was to heavy to carry.), 2017.

This installation works as a symbol of root taking and rootlessness. It groups together different parts of one tree stump, in a path which can be read in one way or the other. From the opening to the closing, from the wall to the window, the space allows a regeneration of the connexions between these parts. It creates a guiding red thread which goes across the room, connecting on its way two independant works made by each of both artists.

Shown as part of the collective exhibition Origins and Metamorphoses, June to October, 2017, Beauport Art & History Society (SAHB), Beauport (QC, Canada).
